Letters to Pandora
The box has been opened, and what has flown out? What new homes will be found for the miscellany that has hibernated there in the corners of the chest? How to find homes for these fragmentary revelations that, once prodded, seek to fly out of the Pandoras of our own chests, looking for a place to dwell, a home to become alive within, a space of their own? In this philosophical happening, the first of its kind, we explore the revelations within ourselves and within others, not as something we own or that exists as a simple part of us — under our exclusive control and transparent to our knowledge — but rather as aspects of existence which we are, provisionally and ever-changingly, stewards of. In a labyrinthine basement gallery, we will, together, find the revelations within us, allow them to explore the boundaries of their world, following them to their homes, allowing them and ourselves to dwell amongst each other and in their own space. What we choose to say or show is not always our choice; saying and showing also chooses us. This philosophical happening will attune us to the autonomy of revelation, to the subtle and blurry boundary between voice and sound, and to the texture of habitation.
